Battery Storage

Battery storage has become the essential partner to Solar PV installations. With the correct configuration of storage you would expect to see usage of self generated energy move from 50% to 80%. This substantially increases the return of investment of an energy system.

Battery storage can be used in isolation to help time-shift energy use. Some energy suppliers will offer off-peak energy rates. Batteries can be charged when these off-peak rates are available and dis-charged during peak rate periods. This scenario alone can produce significant savings on energy bills.

Tewdric Energy also uses battery storage to boost available power during peak demand. For example demand from an EV charger may exceed the power available on the business supply. Batteries can be charged during off-peak periods and then used to provide additional boost for the peak-power demands.

Tewdric Energy uses battery storage for its community based Smart/Micro Grid solutions. Sharing battery storage across multiple users is more efficient than separate batteries for each consumer.

Electric Vehicle Charging

Electric vehicle (EV) charging points are quickly becoming a popular business requirement. Installing one small charger is fairly straight forward, however adding a few higher powered devices is often expensive due to the infrastructure required to supply electricity to the EV charging posts.

Along with the hardware for the EV Chargers you will need powerful and flexible software including a Backoffice system. The Tewdric Energy solution allows for low cost charging and provides software that will enable features that are essential for a business. For instance rates can be varied for staff and visitors allowing for discounted charging as part of an incentive programme etc. Businesses will want fleet management and charging capabilities.

All EV charger solutions are linked to our low-cost renewable energy supply contracts. This means the cost of charging vehicles is the same as the normal business electricity charges. Which usually means the EV charging costs are significantly less than the cost of using public EV chargers from other third parties.
